Each Instructor has worked closely and extensively with Mark Rashid and also brings their own teaching style and strengths to help us on our horsemanship journey. They practice the principles Mark has been honing and sharing over decades and are willing to come to Vermont to share their vast and ever growing grasp of his teachings with us and our horses. We consider it an honor that they are willing to come.
Kayla's teaching style sets people and horses at ease, and her ability to understand the horse's point of view solves difficult issues with communication rather than force.
Dev is excited to share a mindful and principle-based approach to horsemanship to help you and your horse along your journey to a soft, trusting, and more fulfilling relationship.
Gray enjoys working with riders across diverse disciplines and experience levels, going beyond technique, to explore creative approaches for solving problems and expanding skills.
Alexandra grew up with horses at home in the Caribbean. In high school, she moved to California where she had the opportunity to study different disciplines and approaches to working with horses. By her mid twenties, she hadn’t found a way of working with them that resonated so she took a sabbatical from training. For 10 years, she cared for horses and worked in equine rehabilitation. In 2016, she started working with Mark Rashid and his wife Crissi McDonald. She discovered it wasn’t about learning more technique to help horses. For her, it was about learning how she could change in order to offer horses the help she desired to give them.
